Xianyou He is the professor of "Pearl River Scholar" of Guangdong Province, and the recipient of New Century Excellent Talents Support Project of Education Ministry of China, now he works as the dean of School of Psychology in South China Normal University.
Prof. He works as the Editorial Board Member of Aussie Sino Studies, Journal of Psychological Science, Psychological Exploration, the reviewer of Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, and Neuroscience and Biobehavioral, International Journal of Psychology et al. He is also the reviewer for authoritative journal of domestic psychology in China, such as Acta Psychologica Sinica, Journal of Psychological Science, Advances in Psychological Science, Psychological Exploration, Studies of Psychology and Behavior, and Journal of South China Normal University. The main courses Prof. He teaches including Educational Psychology which was supported by National Excellent Course project, Advances in Neuroaesthetics, Advances in Educational Psychology research, Learning Psychology Research, Language Comprehension and Cognition Thematic Research.

At present, he mainly focuses the following topics: First, social cognition and neuroaesthetics research. He mainly uses cognitive neuroscience methods and techniques to explore the neural mechanisms of social cognition and aesthetic appraisal. Second, language understanding and cognition studies. he mainly uses the classical and modern research methods and techniques to explore the mechanisms of language processing. Third, the application research of educational psychology. He mainly applies the research methods of educational psychology to explore the learning and teaching problems in primary and middle school education settings.
