Perceptual Awareness and Attention Lab

        The Perceptual Awareness and Attention Lab focus on understanding how the brain organizes the visual world into meaningful entities and wonder how the brain's plasticity is influenced. The neural bases of the attention and awareness mechanisms are what we are interested in as well. The techniques we bring to bear in addressing these issues include behavioral experimentation, functional brain imaging, and computational modeling. The subject populations we work with include both normal adult observers as well as individuals with a typical developmental histories or neurological disorders.
