内容简介:
In this talk, I will present four studies using the paradigms of reversed Simon effect performed recently in our lab. Two functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies investigated neural correlates of learning and rule modulated cognitive control, respectively. The results suggest that dissociable mechanisms contribute to the effects of learning and rule on cognitive control. The learning effect might be mediated through the right frontopolar cortex, but the rule effect was represented by functional coupling between the medial prefrontal cortex and parieto-premotor areas and lateral prefrontal cortex. In addition, the other two (behavioral) studies further examined relationships between the effects of learning, rule and conflict context on cognitive control. The results suggest that conflict context plays a dominant role in modulating the Simon effect compared to the other two factors. The implications of the results for cognitive control will be discussed.
