讲座摘要：

In  general, older adults are perceived negatively (such as decreased  physical and mental health, worse social relations and increased  loneliness), and the society, especially the younger generation, holds  very negative attitude toward them. In this talk I will focus on three  related questions: 1) what factors could contribute to the negative  attitudes toward older adults; 2) what are the consequences of negative  attitudes toward older adults, for both younger adults and older adults;  and more essentially 3) could the negative perception of older adults  be changed, and present data from 4-5 studies with series of experiments  and surveys, aiming at providing some preliminary answers to the above  questions.

张昕副教授简介：

张昕，北京大学心理与认知科学学院副教授，2011年毕业于香港中文大学心理学系。研究人类毕生发展，尤其是老年心理学。目前已发表SCI/SSCI论文20余篇，包括发展领域知名期刊Development  Psychology, Psychology and Aging, Journal of Gerontology: Psychological  Sciences等. 同时他还是Journal of Gerontology: Psychological Sciences大陆唯一编委。
