摘要: People have an extraordinary ability to recognize familiar faces relative to unfamiliar faces. For example, people can rapidly and accurately recognize a familiar face in long-term memory (e.g., the face of a friend, a colleague, a famous person) across different images of the same person with huge changes in facial expression, lighting or pose. The underlying mechanism of this robust behavioral effect is not entirely clear. Here, I am interested in two questions concerning the time course of familiar face processing. First, how fast people can cognitively access to face familiarity stored in long-term memory. Second, how early face familiarity can affect face processing via either a bottom-up or top-down mechanism. This talk will present most recent findings from our and other groups using behavioral measurements (Rts or saccade Rts) or EEG/MEG recordings with high temporal resolution in measurement.

报告人简介：黄婉怡，华南师范大学心理学院博士后。本科毕业于华南师范大学心理学专业，后于中山大学心理学系硕博连读。主要采用心理物理法和脑电技术来研究面孔识别、知觉学习，以及认知老化领域的问题。相关研究成果发表在Psychophysiology，International Journal of Psychophysiology，The Journals of Gerontology: Series B，Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance，PloS one 等专业学术期刊上。
